TICKET POLICIES

Is it safe to buy tickets online?

The only authorized seller for Preakness and Black-Eyed Susan Day tickets online is Preakness.com. There are many websites that may look legitimate but they are not affiliated in any way with Preakness and the Maryland Jockey Club.

Are any tickets sold the day of the event?

With limited capacity, tickets will not be available on day of event.

I would like to purchase the same seat as 2019, how can I do so?

As a result of COVID 19 and our efforts around social distancing, we are not offering same seating as in previous years.

Can I visit a friend in another section or can a friend visit me in my section?

No. Only ticket holders are permitted in their certain designated sections. Your seat in your section is your home for the day. You should really only be leaving your seat to go to the bathroom or concessions.

Can I go to the InfieldFest with my Facility ticket?

Due to COVID 19 – we are limited access to different parts of the venue to eliminate cross contamination.

Will there be General Admission Tickets this year?

Due to COVID 19 – there are no GA tickets available this year.

When will I receive my tickets?

Instructions on how to download your digital ticket will be emailed to the address provided at purchase in early 2020.

Can I still print my tickets from home?

Tickets will not include a PDF printout option.

Can I have multiple tickets on my phone?

Yes! You will be able to swipe left and right through your available tickets by tapping on the event under the “Tickets and Wristband” tab in the Events section of the app.

What if I don’t have a smartphone or have additional questions about mobile ticketing?

If you do not have a smartphone, please contact our Customer Service department at 1-410-542-9400 or email info@marylandracing.com for assistance.

What if I need help day of, a broken device, or battery issues?

For your convenience, we will have staff available on site to assist with any mobile inquiries. A dedicated team of experts will also be available at every entrance to ensure that all ticket holders can enter as quickly as possible. You may also visit the Ticket Office. Please have a valid ID for the name on your ticket.

What if I have a Windows phone, a Blackberry or otherwise can’t download the app?

You can always access your tickets via your smartphone’s browser without needing to download the app!

I lost/did not received my tickets, what do I do?

Please call our Box Office to verify that we have received your order. If we have your order on file, we will be able to either re-issue your e-ticket or reprint your ticket(s) for you on-site.

Where is my wristband? When will it ship?

You can find estimated shipment and delivery dates along with other tracking information from the Tickets page in your Eventbrite account. They will ship approximately 1 month prior to the day of the event. If you purchased your wristband after the cutoff date for shipping, please proceed to Will Call with a copy of your original order confirmation email and a photo ID.

What do I do if my wristband is lost, stolen, incorrect, or damaged?

If you haven’t received your wristband yet, take a look at your Tickets page for estimated shipping and delivery dates. If your wristband is marked as “delivered” but you never received it or if it’s been lost or stolen, you can deactivate your original wristband and request a replacement wristband to pick up at the event from Will Call. From the Tickets page in your Eventbrite account, find your order, select “Manage Wristband,” then choose “Deactivate wristband.” Once the wristband is deactivated, you can to pick up your replacement wristband(s) at Will Call.

It’s important to know that we cannot reship any orders and that shipping fees are non-refundable. Wristband replacement fees may apply. If you bought your ticket after the cutoff date for shipping, you can confirm Will Call pick-up on your Tickets page too.

General Questions

Can I pick up my wristband at Will Call?

If you can’t get your wristband at the address provided, you can cancel the shipment on the Tickets page in your Eventbrite account, then pick up a replacement wristband at Will Call. All you need to bring with you is your original order confirmation email and a photo ID.

Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable. If you are having trouble finding your order confirmation email from Eventbrite, make sure to check the spam folder in your inbox, or search for an email from orders@eventbrite.com.

How old do you have to be to place a bet?

18 years of age.

Can I bring my children and do they need a ticket for BES or Preakness Day?

Yes, and they must be under adult supervision at all times.
Seating: Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket as long as they don’t occupy a seat. If the child under the age of 5 does require a seat, you will need to purchase a ticket for that seat at full price.
InfieldFest: Children under the age of 7 admitted free of charge.

How do I get to Pimlico Race Course?

1. 95 North:  I-95 N to 695 W, Take exit 18 Lochearn (Liberty Road), Go down 7 traffic lights and make a Left turn on Northern Parkway, make a Right on Park Heights Ave, follow signs for parking.
2. New York/Philadelphia/New Jersey/Delaware/Northern/Baltimore County: I-95 S to 695 W, take 695 W to I-83 S, take I-83 S to Northern Parkway West and follow signs for parking.
3. Inner Harbor: I-83 N to Northern Parkway West and follow signs for parking.
4. Frederick: I-70 E to 695 W (follow directions for 695 W from 5N).
5. Harrisburg: 1-83 S to 695 W (stay on this for a short while before getting back on I-83 S), take Northern Parkway West and follow signs for parking.

I've lost someone/something, where do I go?

Report to the security office – 1st floor Grandstand.

What do I do if my medication needs to be kept cool?

Visit the First Aid station located on the 1st floor of the Grandstand.

Will the MTA provide transportation for the Preakness?

MTA packet will be included with purchased tickets or you may call 1-866-RIDE-MTA or visit www.mtamaryland.com.

Can I re-enter Pimlico after leaving?

There will be no re-entry into the Grandstand/Clubhouse/Concourse, facility, or InfieldFest.

When does the Post-Position Draw for the Preakness Stakes occur?

The Post-Position draw takes place the Wednesday prior to the Preakness.

Where can I smoke?

Smoking is not permitted in the paddock area or any other indoor area.
Smoking is permitted on both the Clubhouse and Grandstand Apron in designated smoking areas only.  Smoking is prohibited in all seating sections.

What is the earliest time I can get into Pimlico?

Black-Eyed Susan Day gates open at 9:00 a.m. for the Facility. The Turfside Terrace gates opens at 9:30 a.m.
Preakness Day the gates open at 8:00 a.m. for the Facility. The InfieldFest, Preakness Village, and Turfside Terrace gate open at 9:00 a.m.

Where do I cash in my winning ticket?

How to cash your Maryland winning ticket or credit voucher:
The Maryland Racing Commission requires that all winning tickets and credit vouchers must be cashed within one year of their issue.
These can be redeemed in person at any Maryland Intertrack or OTB site, or by mail.

Is this a rain or shine event?

Yes.  This is an outdoor event so plan accordingly if inclement weather is in the forecast.  No refunds will be issued due to the weather.

What can I bring into the facility?

The following items are PROHIBITED EVERYWHERE on Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness Days*
Drugs or weapons of any kind
Outside food or beverage of any kind
Glass containers of any type
Tents
Umbrellas of any kind
Balloons, balls, and Frisbees
Drones of any kind
Selfie Sticks
Camelbacks or water bladders of any kind
Chairs or folding chairs of any kind
Hibachis or barbecues
Ladders, scaffolding or other raised devices
Bulk or oversized carrying devices
Non-folding, or folding, metal furniture
Hand carts, or wheeled carts
Backpacks & duffle bags
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor and seating sections. Please use designated smoking areas.

The following items are PROHIBITED in the GRANDSTAND/CLUBHOUSE:
Outside beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, so drinks, water or other beverages)
Outside food of any kind
Coolers, backpacks or thermoses
Vaping not permitted anywhere indoors

The following items are PERMITTED in the GRANDSTAND/CLUBHOUSE:
Beach blankets and suntan lotion
Cell phones, cameras (up to 35mm), camcorders and binoculars
Clear bags for personal items, no larger than 18” x 18”
Empty, clear water disposable bottles
Personal bags including purses, no larger than 18”x 18” (subject to search)
For medical needs and equipment, please see on-site supervisor

The following items are PROHIBITED in the TURFSIDE TERRACE and CLUBHOUSE:
Outside food or beverage items
Coolers, backpacks, or thermoses

The following items are PROHIBITED in the INFIELDFEST / MUG & VINE LOUNGE:

Balloons, balls, and frisbees
Food or beverages of any kind (including alcohol, beer, wine, soft drinks, water, or other beverages)

The following items are PERMITTED in the INFIELDFEST / MUG & VINE LOUNGE:
Beach blankets (InfieldFest only) and suntan lotion
Cell phones, cameras (up to 35mm), camcorders and binoculars
*Pimlico reserves the right to confiscate any such item.
All persons entering Pimlico and their camera bags, purses and containers are subject to direct physical search or indirect search by wanding or magnetometers.

Are there shuttles from the parking lots to the building?

No.  There are no shuttles from any of our parking lots to the building.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Pimlico Race Course offers many services and amenities to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities. It is our belief that the needs of our guests with disabilities should simply be an extension of the same courtesies that we tender to all guests and employees. We take pride in serving our guests and hope you enjoy your visit at Pimlico Race Course.
RESTROOMS
Accessible restroom can be located in the Clubhouse Levels 1, 2 & 3. Grandstand restrooms are located on the 2nd Level and Concourse restrooms can be found on the 1st Level.
CONCESSIONS
Accessible Concessions can be found on the 1st Level of the Clubhouse, 1st Level Concourse and the 1st and 2nd Level Grandstand.Concessions that are not accessible are on the 3rd Level Grandstand and the 2nd Level Concourse.
ELEVATORS
All public elevators at Pimlico Race Course are accessible to our guests. Elevators can be found at the following locations:
Clubhouse Level 1
Grandstand Level 1 by the First Aid Office
GUEST SERVICE CENTERS
There is a Guest Service Center located on the 1st Level of the Clubhouse year round. An additional site is available on the 1st Level of the Grandstand on Preakness Day.
SERVICE ANIMALS
Service animals are allowed in Pimlico Race Course. All other animals & pets are prohibited. Please see a day of staff member if any accommodations are required.
TICKETS
The Preakness Ticket Office is located outside of the Grandstand Entrance. Open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. For more ticket information call the Ticket Office at (410) 542-9400.
TOURS
Sunrise at Old Hilltop Tours take place in the morning hours a few days leading up to the Preakness and are accessible.
Wheelchair Companioned Seating
Wheelchair accessible seating sections are located:
Clubhouse Box Sections 1-12 (Row N only)
Grandstand Apron Box 1-29 (All seats)
Grandstand Lower Box Section 1-40 (Row I only)
Concourse Apron Box 29-90 (All seats)
Terrace Dining Room, Hall Fame Room and Sports Palace Dining Room
PARKING
All parking lots are accessible.
The closest accessible parking lot is VIP Hayward Parking Lot; located 80 feet of the Grandstand entrance.
The Infield entrance on Pimlico Road is accessible but has uneven ground when crossing the track. The best entrance for accessible patrons that park in Preakness Way Lot 4 is the Rogers Gate entrance on Rogers Ave.
Pimlico does NOT provide shuttles from any of our parking lots to the facility.

What time should I arrive for Preakness?

We suggest fans arriving at Pimlico by car on Preakness Day allow sufficient time for convenient access in entering the track. Facility admission gates open at 8:00 a.m. on Preakness Day with a first post of 10:30 a.m. The InfieldFest and the first crossover to Preakness Village and Turfside Terrace open at 9:30 a.m.
Traffic flow will be the lightest before Noon, and wait times could be lengthy between Noon – 3 p.m.
The Preakness post is around 6:30 p.m.

Where is the best place to park?

Designated parking lots correspond to your ticket and are as follows:
General Building Admission/Grandstand/Clubhouse Seating you should use Lot 1, 2, 3, 9
Sports Palace & Dining Room Seating you should use Lot 1, 2, 3
Turfside Terrace/Preakness Village/Clubhouse Turn & Sky Suites Lot 1, 2, 3

** Lot 1 direct access via Park Heights Avenue to Hayward or W. Belvedere Avenue entrances
** Lot 2 direct access via Park Heights Avenue to Hayward Avenue entrance
** Lot 3 direct access via Park Heights Avenue to Winner Avenue entrance

If you have a Infieldfest Ticket you should use Lot 4 for track crossing tram or Lot 9 for direct tunnel entrance
** Lot 9 direct access via Northern Parkway to Woodcrest Avenue entrance
** Lot 4 direct access via Northern Parkway to Preakness Way entrance

Are there ride share drop-off and pick up locations for Uber and Lyft?

Yes. There are two (2) ride share lots.

If you have an Infield Fest ticket you should use the Rideshare lot at Northern Parkway and Preakness Way.

For all other ticket holders you should use the West Belvedere / Palmer Avenue curbside drop location. This includes ticket-holders for:
General Building Admission
Grandstand
Clubhouse
Sports Palace & Dining Room Seating
Turfside Terrace
Preakness Village
Clubhouse Turn & Sky Suites

How do you access the parking lots?

You can access the designated parking lots via the following directions:
· Lot 1 – direct access via Park Heights Avenue to Hayward or W. Belvedere Avenue entrances

· Lot 3 – direct access via Park Heights Avenue to Winner Avenue entrance
